I believe in finding beauty in the ordinary moments. Not to live for the photos but to have the photos as proof we lived. Not to spend your wedding day making sure the photos are "perfect" but to be so present and alive on your big day that your photos feel so perfect to you.
I was born in the Netherlands but moved to the Fraser Valley, BC when I was 3. I have lived in Chilliwack ever since but have gone on multiple road trips throughout Canada and the US. Growing up I was always the quiet one of the family who was quite content just watching the world skip along. In some ways I still am, but if you know me well enough I won't shut up;)
Photography is the creative outlet I use to show people the way I see the world. I've come to discover that being an observer is my most powerful tool. Watching life happen is when you notice all the beautiful moments unfold. I first picked up a camera when I was 16. But because of my gazillion other hobbies it never amounted to much. Fast forward 4 years with a new motivation to make my passion into a career I started fresh and fell in love. Now it has become not only my creative outlet but also the way I serve others and capture moments for them that would otherwise pass unnoticed.
Since launching my business I've had the honor of documenting the lives and love of the most wonderful people.

The answer to this is every evolving and there are many things that inspire me but here are a few that come to mind,
When I say creation I mean the incredible way that the world was created to be so beautiful and magical. No artist could ever match the perfection of the way that God created the earth.
I embrace the traditional feminine and masculine roles and often create poses and prompts that exude the beauty of each role and the way they harmoniously exist. This results in photos that feel romantic and and like they come straight from a romance film:)
I am inspired by what I see in the moment. They way you interact and express love to each other, the way you dress, your body language and overall "vibe" as they call it:) I use this to determine poses that I feel will be genuine and natural for you and will convey your relationship the best.
I am inspired by our surroundings and the way the light is shining, the movement of your hair or the wind. By the colors and textures around us. Honestly everything that exist in the moment with us and a goal to create photos that feel old fashioned and perfectly timeless.
When I say that I am pursuing a timeless quality I mean that I want your photos to feel utterly timeless. I want you to be able to look back and still feel like these photos are the most beautiful representations of who you are. Humans are the same as they have been since creation and my goal is to capture those timeless qualities that we carry through,
The love and the joy. The tears and the laughter. The obsession with romance and the pursuit of adventure. I want you to leave this experience with photos that are true and honest to your human experience, whether it be your wedding or sweet couples session.
